We were a little slow to get up this morning. Both of us are nursing sunburns from the last couple of days, so jumping out into the sun just wasn’t a priority for us today. Once we finally got rolling, we decided that we would take the Bula Bus down to the marina to look at the shops and get some lunch.
For lunch, we stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe…as we were seated, the greeter made sure to point out that we were sitting next to Madonna and Britney Spears’ shoes. I tried to get a picture, but they came out lame due to the reflection from the high-security case that they were displayed. However, our waitress did take a nice picture of us. Also note that all of our electronics were out on the table – there was free WiFi!
After lunch, we walked around the shops…We found that you could buy your own island for about $1.7M fjd (~$900,000 usd). We decided that while it would be cool (we could build a fort with cannons to fight off the pirates), it probably wasn’t something that we should do.
On the way back to the hotel, the Bula Bus stopped by the tennis/golf center. They were preparing the tennis courts for the Fiji Invitational…Apparently my invitation was lost in the mail.
Spent the rest of the afternoon lounging around in our room – Kim took a nap, and I read a book out on our balcony. For dinner, we hit the fancy restaurant at the hotel.
That’s about it, not a whole lot happened today. Tomorrow, we head off for Sydney.
