Consecutive Days with a cow sighting: ???? – haven’t seen one yet, but there is still time to go!
Today we drove through the scenic loop in the park. Before we left Seattle, I printed out Bingo cards for the national park. Each square was something to see at the park (for example, bison tracks). Well, Taylor won today, and I told her the prize would be to be mentioned in my blog.
The loop itself was interesting, although there were not a lot of places to pull over and look around. There wasn’t as much wildlife as I expected. We saw tons of prairie dogs, a small herd of feral horses, and a couple of bison (way far away). We stopped at Jones creek trail and hiked down it for about 15 minutes before turning back to the car. I don’t think I would go out of my way to come to this park, but if you are driving through, it is worth a stop.
After doing the scenic loop, we returned to the motorhome to make some lunch and relax. Then, we went back to the visitor center – the first time through, Ryan and Taylor picked up workbooks to become Junior Rangers, we needed to go turn them in to get their official badges.
I’m posting a bit early today because we are heading to town for dinner and a show, and we probably won’t be back to the rig until late. I’ll be sure to give a full review tomorrow.
