Day 6: the north loop

Did the north loop of yellowstone today. The amazing thing is that we have hardly seen any buffalo – just 2 yesterday, none today. The highlight of the day was a small black bear that ran across the road in front of us. Got an ok picture of it. At a different location a nice lady let me look through her spotting scope at a grizzly and her cubs – so far away you couldn’t see them at all w/my 400mm lens. Also got some nice elk pictures today.

After we got back to the motorhome, we had a friendly family game of mini-golf. Melissa quit after 9 holes, but the rest of us made it through to the end.

Well, i’m watching the m’s blow the game tonight (isn’t camping great?). And, we saw a picture of a cow today – i think that makes 5 cow days in a row 🙂
